Description:   An overview of architectural door hardware, proper sequencing, and basic codes as relates to each component discussed.

 

 

 

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

1)    Become familiar with nomenclature, as well as the “parts & pieces” that become an opening.

2)    Know the correct sequence for specifying door hardware.

3)    Understanding of basic code compliance with regard to door hardware.

 

How Taught: The CES facilitator utilizes a PowerPoint or slide presentation to introduce the audience to the architectural openings industry, giving them a general overview architectural door hardware.  During introduction and explanation of each component,

the facilitator will go thru the proper sequencing of a hardware schedule and discuss basic code information as it relates to each component.

 

A/V Needed: Electrical power and a screen for the PowerPoint or slide presentation. (The CES facilitator supplies the laptop.)

 

Target Audience:  The recommended audience size should be between 6 & 50+.  The target audience is to Architects, Specifiers, Owners and other Design Professionals in the non-residential market.

 

Facilitator Qualifications:  Hager Companies CES facilitators have been trained on CES guidelines and presentation skills.  Each presenter has vast experience in the door and hardware industry with many resources available to him/her.

 

Costs: There is no cost to bring this program into your firm or chapter meeting
